He wants YOU for a new best friend…

Charles Lee Ray is a dangerous fugitive who transfers his soul into one of the ‘Good Guy’ dolls via a voodoo spell after being shot by the police. The toy is bought by Andy’s mother as a dream birthday gift. To their surprise, the doll comes alive, has a vivid personality and a ready tongue, but most importantly, it is incredibly dangerous.
It is the contrast between the inconspicuous appearance of the doll and her charismatic, spooky behaviour that is the major asset of the film, which is both funny and scary for the viewers. This seemingly crazy scenario turned out to be a hit. The Chucky doll became a pop culture icon and the film itself used to be a VHS bestseller, in fact it still occupies a special place in the pantheon of cult horror films.
