FROM A KILLER TO A FIGHTER. THE IMAGE OF WOMEN IN HORROR FILMS
Marta Płaza
18.09 (Monday) / at 5:15 / Sala Kinowa / ADMISSION FREE

Beautiful and dangerous. Courageous and intrepid. Or maybe dark and mysterious? Women in horrors have many faces. We’d like to invite you to a journey through the stories of the most famous heroines, the cult roles and scenes. We’ll visit Mary Shelley and check on Ellen Ripley, stopping on our way to see how’s Carrie. What’s the woman’s face of horror?
Marta Płaza – graduate of journalism and film studies. She works with people on a daily basis and after hours, in the darkness of the interwebs, she loudly contemplates their sinister side. An enthusiast of campiness and kitsch, especially in films. Płaza lives for horrors since at the age of twelve she watched “Omen” from under her covers, and thanks to the series “X Files” she appreciated how horrifying a soundtrack can be.

Lecture in Polish.
