IT is everything you ever were afraid of.
American idyll of a small town is brutally destroyed when a demonic creature with a look of a terrifying clown kidnaps and kills children. A group of seven friends decides to defy the evil power. Unfortunately, after thirty years their biggest nightmare returns. Now they have to fight the source of their childhood fears as adults and settle it once and for all.
„To” jest jedną z najsłynniejszych i najbardziej przerażających powieści Stephena Kinga, która została przeniesiona na srebrny ekran w 1990 roku. I być może właśnie z uwagi na środek przekazu jest horrorem dość nietypowym. Bo choć mało tu krwi i przemocy, strachu jest co niemiara. Ogromna w tym zasługa Tima Curry’ego, odtwórcy głównej roli, którego występ jest bardzo sugestywny, tak samo jak charakteryzacja, która była na tyle dobra, że podobno aktorzy i cała ekipa filmowa starali się go na planie filmowym unikać.
Choć jak na film jest dość długi (ponad 3 godziny), w ogóle się nie dłuży się i trzyma w napięciu.
“It” is one of the most famous and terrifying Stephen King novels, which was adapted for the silver screen in 1990. And maybe because of that form it is an uncommon horror – there’s not much of blood and violence in “It”, but there’s enough fear for everyone. A great credit should go to Tim Curry who plays the main character, and whose performance is very evocative, as well as the make-up, which was so good that the actors and film crew tried to avoid him on the set.
Although the film is quite long (over 3 hours) It doesn’t get tiring and It keeps you on the edge of your seat.
