We are pleased to announce that FANTA is the fantastic sponsor of the 9th Splat!FilmFest International Fantastic Film Festival 2023.

WHO ARE WE?
Splat!FilmFest – International Fantastic Film Festival is the Poland’s most exciting festival of horror, fantasy, genre, and arthouse film.
Our mission is to present dark, brutal, wild, and beautiful cinema.
The core of our program is made up of premiere screenings of the best and most important genre films (horrors, thrillers, dark dramas, black comedies, science-fiction, and fantasy, among others) from all around the world which are not yet in distribution in Poland. All this in an attractive setting. We offer both good entertainment and great cinema.

This year the popular American magazine Dread Central announced Splat!FilmFest as one of the best horror festivals in the world. The list of distinguished festivals was chosen by the group of experts from international film industry. The main feature taken into account was festival’s increasing popularity within international range. The award-winning festivals include Arrow Video Frightfest (UK), Fantasia International Film Festival (Canada), Fantastic Fest (USA), Imagine Film Festival (Netherlands), MOTELX – Lisbon International Horror Film Festival (Portugal), Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival (Spain), Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (South Korea) and many more excellent festivals.

This is yet another honorable mention of this range for our Splat!FilmFest. In 2020, the festival was mentioned in the American MovieMaker Magazine’s 25 Bloody Best Genre Fests in the World. Atmosphere and the Splat! FilmFest program (referred to as “super well-curated”) was appreciated by a group of experts, including foreign directors, actors, distributors and film journalists. Other festivals appreciated at the time include Fantastic Fest, Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival or the Midnight Madness section at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Splat!FilmFest is a member of the prestigious Méliès International Festivals Federation (former European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation).

OUR MOTTO: “We don’t want false, polished, slick films – we prefer them rough, unpolished, but alive; we don’t want rosy films – we want them the colour of blood.” (The Film-Maker Cooperative, 1962)
