Magic realism in the colour of blood.

Raulo, a 50-year-old lumberjack with mental disabilities lives with his mother Ercilia and sister Roberta in a small remote village, which consists of only 20 cabins. His mother is a local shaman and his sister works as a prostitute, beloved by the local men. The siblings love each other unconditionally. When Ercilia is close to death, she warns her daughter that the moment Roberta sleeps with every last man in the village she will die condemned and rejected by society. Roberta has not had sexual intercourse with only one man in the village – the one who loves her, but he is the husband of another local prostitute who has the ability to kill to avenge her husband’s betrayal.

The film had its premiere at Cannes International Film Festival during the Blood Window Gala.
